Our deadline for submissions has passed and we are now in the process of evaluating the proposals. Thank you to everyone who sent in an abstract. We have quite a few more submissions than we were expecting, so it may take us a bit longer to get through them than we anticipated. Please be patient with us and we will let you know if your proposal was selected for the conference as soon as possible.
Here is our updated Call for Papers. As you can see, our official keynote speaker is Jared Diamond of the UCLA Geography Department and author of Guns, Germs, and Steel.
The conference will still take place on October 8th, but we will now be accepting paper proposals in the form of a 500 word abstract until June 15th.
The theme for our conference is History Plus and will focus on an interdisciplinary approach to History. Please send your abstracts to email@example.com
The first UCLA history graduate conference now has its first blog. We’ll be using this site to inform our participants of new developments such as deadlines and venue changes. Please check back often to get the latest news on our conference.
